Please post a comment later in the week and share what new techniques you tried in your classroom. Did taking the course help you increase your ability to integrate the SMART board in the classroom?
Today I showed the math teacher here all the tools he could be using with the Smartboard Notebook software. He was the only one using the Smartboard, but did not know about the teacher tools (tutorials and gallery templates for slides). He was amazed. Then I made him a "my content" folder next to mine- he can put his assignments there. Thanks again for the class.
Hello Mary, I had a wonderful day yesterday using the Smart Board. Both my math groups enjoyed the interactive part of the board. I also felt more in control with my own skills. That was a great feeling. Today, my board is not receiving data from the port. Good days/ bad days!

Hello, The Ashby group meet during the day to review the video conversion with firefox. We will meet on Wed. to discuss various features to share with our colleagues. I worked on Karen's smartboard so hopefully it is working today@!
Hi Everyone, I've been setting up some SmartBoards for classroom teachers and ran into a little problem...blinking green light. When searching Google for a solution, I came across this website, there are very short tutorials and one just happened to solve my problem. There are also several links on the right side of the page.
There are also a variety of other tutorial videos such as skype and inspiration.
Hi Mary, This has been such an exciting week. I gained confidence this week working with the Smartboard everyday. Using the Smartboard added so much to my lessons. Thank you for getting me going.
Jeanette is so enthusiastic...it's wonderful! I think she can lead some of the pd in our building...Actually, we need to get a morning SmartGroup together and meet a couple of times a month!
I used my keyboarding notebook pages with one of my classes and the participation was way up. Even the kids from the life skills class wanted to participate. I did try using a vortex, but it doesn't work on the computer that I project from...it's an eMac and I'm sure there are memory issues. Time for me to change the computer I work from!
