  1. I would like one of these to highlight points on handouts, diagrams and drawings (technical or students' brainstorming sketches). Also, having students come up to verify understanding following instruction would be much more interactive than a Q&A session. The pixel quality is fantastic. I am guessing that is why it's $700 for a tiny lens on a stand. Do you know the pixel quality on the Doc Cam you demonstrated... please let me know.

  2. I love the Smart Document camera, but the cost is rather large. I have been experimenting using a web cam to try to do the same thing. I think that it needs a stand though - to keep from jumping around and is definitely a "low-tech" alternative if you don't have the budget for the real thing. How to get it in the smart notebook? Easiest way is to Insert picture from Scanner. Your webcam is a "scanner". Just choose it from the list.
