Hello All,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Patti Salmonson. I'm the Director of Technology at Cotting School in Lexington MA. I am taking this class because I think it is time for me to actually learn to use the some of the tech equipment that I am so good at buying! I'm also interested in learning about the Senteo, tablet pcs, and other technology we don't yet have at the school. See you tonight!

ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Jeff Hajjar. I teach Technology Education at the middle school level. This course should be useful in two ways - I can use the knowledge in my class instruction and I can introduce other teachers to the technology.
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Donna Falsey. I teach third grade at Varnum Brook in Pepperell, MA. I have a SMARTBOARD in my classroom. I can't wait to use it more. I am enjoying your class!

ReplyDeleteMy name is Cynthia Landry. I teach k-5 at Ashby Elem. I am the computer technology instructor. I have a webster board in the lab but all teachers have a smartboard in their classroom. I would like to learn the smartboard to help all teachers with lesson planning.

Hello, my name is Peg Casson. I teach second grade at Ashby Elementary. I have a smartboard in my classroom and have been using it but not as much as I think it is intended for. I would love to develop lessons and ways to use my board to its full potential.(time?) I am looking forward to learning about the next new technology, (clickers, classmate, and senteo software)next week.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying learning about the Smart technologies. In my position as the instructional technology specialist at Varnum Brook, I work closely with the teachers to help them integrate technology into their curriculum. Our goal is to have a SmartBoard in every classroom. Although I have a Webster board, I'd like to run the Notebook software in the lab so that I become more familiar with its use. I am also to expected to do professional development for teachers as they get their SmartBoard, so I hope to learn a great deal! Paula Grier
Hi Mary (and everyone else),

Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteWe went to Ashby this morning to complete our assignments together. There were a few differences using the mac.I learned a lot in your class.I have a feeling that it's only the tip of the iceberg. I enjoyed the webcam and learning about skype. Today I started a notebook file and have found a great deal of useful lessons to fill it with.
